MSNBC host Keith Olbermann lashed out at ABC's former "Nightline" host Ted Koppel and the mainstream media generally in a lengthy "special comment" at the end of his program "Countdown" on Monday night.

  (Bloomberg) -- The Federal Reserve will pump an additional $630 billion into the global financial system [NEW YORK and  LONDON banks]   flooding  [CARTEL MEMBER]  banks with cash to alleviate the worst banking crisis since the Great Depression.... (cont'd)

 Yes, America - in THE SAME WEEK that  Bush Treasury Secretary - AND FORMER Goddamn-Sachs CHAIRMAN Hank Paulson was BEGGING/EXTORTING  $730 BILLION in T.A.R.P. "BAILOUTS"  from Nancy Pelosi and the 110th Congress,  why,  that very same week Ben Bernanke andTim Geithner were DISHING OUT ANOTHER  $630 BILLION to the undeserving, failed, bankrupt, FRAUDULENT, CRIMINALLY run banks -  the REAL   "bailouts" were nearly  DOUBLE  the ADVERTISED $700 billion amount, in just ONE WEEK, ALONE!!!  

Washington Post CAUGHT PIMPING FOR WAR - for "America's economic benefit" !!

 Brad DeLong may certainly have his critics - we stumbled on this story via Zero-Hedge critique of DeLong's establishmentarian  "bailouts for filthy rich bankers" economics posing as Keynsians -  but in this case Mr. DeLong hits a home run, calling the Washington Post "A MONSTROSITY" and advising that for the nation - these United States of America - "It would be good for the country if this monstrosity [the Washington Post]  shut itself down today."
  Yes, Brad DeLong echoes our call here - that the Washington Post is a NAZI-esque PROPAGANDA machine,  relentlessly and remorsely dedicated to SEPARATING AMERICAN CITIZENS FROM THEIR MONEY, by starting ever spreading FOREIGN WARS,  those billions upon trillions of  WAR SPENDING dollars of course flowing through Congress, and filtering down to all the lobbyists, think tanks, and media whores in that larcenous and mass-murderous town. 
 All the better that DeLong catches SO-CALLED "moderate," SO-CALLED "dean of the D.C. press corpse" DAVID BRODER in the act of PIMPING MASS MURDER to give America's economy (and Pres. Obama's popularity) a boost.

Or David Broder's call for Barack Obama to bomb Iran to get the economy moving?
It would be good for the country if this monstrosity shut itself down today.

Broder is the worst. He is monstrous:

[I]f Obama cannot spur that [economic] growth by 2012, he is unlikely to be reelected.... Can Obama harness the forces that might spur new growth?.... What are those forces?... Look back at FDR and the Great Depression. What finally resolved that economic crisis? World War II.
Here is where Obama is likely to prevail.... [H]e can spend much of 2011 and 2012 orchestrating a showdown with the mullahs. This will help him politically because the opposition party will be urging him on. And as tensions rise and we accelerate preparations for war, the economy will improve.
I am not suggesting, of course, that the president incite a war to get reelected. But the nation will rally around Obama because Iran is the greatest threat to the world in the young century. If he can confront this threat and contain Iran's nuclear ambitions, he will have made the world safer and may be regarded as one of the most successful presidents in history.

Jason Linkins does it again:  CATCHES the Washington Post being the reactionary   PROPAGANDA LIARS, THIEVES, and Right-Wing BULLIES they have become over recent decades.  In this case the Post PRETENDS to be "unbiased" - in discussing teen SUICIDES brought about by BULLYING about (gay) sexual identity, while giving "the other side" - that maybe gay teens SHOULD committ suicide -  equal space!

As I deeply enjoy hearing the tortured explanations behind the stupid editorial decisions made by the Washington Post, I have to applaud Pam Spaulding for this catch. See, previously, the WaPo thought it would be a good idea to run an editorial from anti-gay bigot Tony Perkins on National Coming Out Day, decrying the gay-agenda-baking behind organizations like GLSEN's stance against gay teenagers being hounded to suicide by homophobes. Apparently, the effort to keep members of the LGBT community from killing themselves amounts to political "exploitation," which is obviously much more terrible than teenage suicide.
   See, the Post is just diligently exploring both sides of the issue! You did know that there are two completely rational sides to the debate over teens committing suicide because of homophobic bullying, didn't you? On the one hand, Dan Savage wants such teenagers to know that "it gets better." But on the other hand, should it get better? Maybe it should get worse! Maybe more teenagers should kill themselves! The Washington Post hopes to figure this out, someday. 

 Sadly, Mr. Linkin's attention to the utter hypocricies, lies, and murderous  right-wing propaganda of the "Pravda Commissars on the Potomac"  Washington Post will become   increasingly rare at the HuffingtonPost, as, having finally started earning money (on the backs of its unpaid moderators),  the HuffPost is... morphing into just another full-on WAR, TAX-CUTS FOR RICH,  ENSLAVE THE PEONS  Neo-Con rag, just like the Meyer/Graham Washington Post and Sulzberger New York Slimes before it.

So urgent was the supposed need for Congress to forestall a catastrophic loss of teacher jobs that the House was called back from its summer recess and money looted from the food stamp program. That money is now flowing to the states, but since, for many, the crisis was less dramatic than had been described, local school districts are now looking for creative ways to use the money.

   Linkins:   So, what to do? Could we maybe loosen up some scrilla to give deserving teachers compensatory raises? No, say the editors! That would be crazy, because it "would be foolish to use these one-time funds for a pay raise that will be baked into all future budgets." So, what, then? The editors suggest that everyone follow in the footsteps of Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley and just sit on the money and save it for a rainy day?
